Four Guardians

"Four Guardians" emphasizes the power of history and storytelling. Since Asian classic mythologies have their own interesting symbolisms, this illustration incorporated these symbols to exhibit the origin of power through mythical guardians. In terms of metaphors, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Yellow Dragon are for metal, fire, and earth. Then, lotus flowers, peaches, and pomegranates are for rebirth, immortality, and abundance. Also, traditional architectures mean historical values of all these stories, and appreciate the beauty that ancestors created.
