A unique family fun run Celebrating AAPI Heritage MOnth!

Help us kick off the 2026 AAPI Heritage Month with a 5k fun run that honors and celebrates the rich Asian and Pacific Islander history in San Francisco.

This is a FREE, family-friendly, fun walk/run through the heart of the city, where we will pass by over 20+ historic AAPI landmarks. Each landmark will have goodies, resources, and information about each location.

We will start the 5k with an opening ceremony performance and end it with an amazing Finisher's Festival, which will include more performances, activities, goodies, and vendors.

There will be cheer stations, photo ops, candy, and entertainment on the route for runners to enjoy!

This year’s 5k will be filmed.

RE:CONNECT is a reply to our history and a conversation with our future. The Our Heritage 5K was born out of our movement's earliest days as a way to activate the community beyond rallies. The name says it: our heritage. Honoring where we came from while building what comes next.

Five years later, hundreds of runners move through San Francisco past the landmarks that tell our story, guided by volunteers standing proudly on every corner of this city, not just in our neighborhoods, but on Market Street, past City Hall, through the busiest parts of the city. Boldly and visibly.

That's why we're partnering with CAAM to film this year's run. This is the AAPI movement in action, and it deserves to be documented. Every runner is part of the story. The route is the set. The finish line is the red carpet.

RE:CONNECT

The Making of a Movement

Our race. Our movement. Our documentary.

Don’t miss out on this collectible ‘Our Heritage 5k’ race medal.

This is an AI rendering of the medal concept. The final design is still being finalized, but it will closely resemble this version. =)
