My work explores the relationship between traditional and contemporary culture. With influences as diverse as Yuko Shimizu and Andy Warhol, new synergies are distilled from both simple and complex narratives.
Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the nature of the oriental aesthetics. After finishing my bachelor of design degree, I switched my view to a more diverse culture for inspiration. I also see aesthetics in Chinese medicine and many books to find deeper connections between ancient oriental philosophy and contemporary art concepts.
As tradition becomes transformed through digital and experimental practice, the viewer is left with a tribute to the attraction of interesting culture.
Currently, I’m working on artwork and design concepts through self-initiated projects that are embedded in digital imaging, computing and biodegradable experimental art.
