ASIAN HEROISM- through my eyes

Acrylic textured base + permanent markers

This work was an experiment which I carried out by swapping paint brush with a blowtorch to move the paints.(you can find a reel on my IG handle- nazishz_art , of this work ).When I came across this competition page I immediately thought of working on it more to fit in with the theme. The explosion of fluid colours ,the layers of earth tones with messages in different languages and depictions of my perspective of strength is my take on the Asian heroism. Also, I believe I am my biggest strength, being a hijabi muslim woman with kids, in a contemporary art scene, isn’t much talked about or given credence these days .So, one needs to be passionate about creating art with immense dedication and strength to survive in this field. This work is an experimental abstract expression of the theme through my eyes. Open to interpretation of the viewer .
